Wildfly service unresponsive in Windows, when stopped

  • When trying to stop wildfly service using services.msc sometimes it hangs.
  • Instead of restarting server you can kill JAVA process from the task manager that will stop wildfly server and then you can restart the server using services.msc
  • To stop the JAVA open task manager and go to processes tab.
  • Right click on java.exe and select End Process to kill JAVA process.
