How to open sub reports from a Cross-Tab

Subview allows a drill-down view of the same or different set of columns from the higher level. You can view detailed information of dimensions or measures by associating them with another relevant cross-tab.

Two different  cross-tab can be related through subview by providing the Join condition.

Note: Subview can be formed between two  cross-tab from same dataset or different datasets, as far as the type of the columns in Join condition is matching. You can create unlimited chain of subviews using this feature.

Example 1:

The below sales performance  cross-tab (State wise Sales performance and Employee wise Sales performance) shows state wise gross sales, target and performance for the year of 2013 & 2014 and employee wise performance for these years. Let's see how to associate both the  cross-tab in order to view the relevant employee performance data when you click on each state.
