Group Average (Total value / Group count) in the summary

Group Average (Total value / Group count) displays the average of all the values within the same group. The group average summary will be applied on the front-end object view data.

The below sales cross-tab shows the gross sales of Product categories and their products over different years. To display the total average sales of each category, follow the below steps.

SALES CROSS-TAB

Step 1

In the  cross-tab, right click on any Product, the system displays the menu.

Step 2

In the menu, select Summary and Settings. The system displays the Summary dialog box.

Select 'Group Average' from the drop-down list and click OK.

The average sales of all the products under different categories will be displayed as below.

As highlighted in the sales analysis, the average value '898,312' is calculated as the total sales (Beer + Whisky + Wine) / Total count. ie; (767,387 + 1,419,927 + 507,622) / 3
