Points to remember when creating dashboard -
- View newly created dashboards in both tablet as well as mobile view, apart from the desktop view
- Check grouping of the objects, so the placement of objects are proper in all screen resolutions
- Remove clear button from filters if not needed
- Avoid multi-select filters; drop-down filters is ideal
- Avoid horizontal scroll in crosstab objects
- Sharp fonts colors like black or dark blue, light shades may not be visible properly
- Use maximize size of dashboard graphs (applicable to lower than version 4.3)
- Add title name for filters / time series filters with visible false (This title will be visible in mobile and tablet view)
- Removed UDDC / UDHC / Pack formula display for the crosstabs
- Avoid keeping background images or logos for better display
- Apply format on all column, so when you adds a new column the format is not disturbed
- Add sharper spot lighter colors
- Avoid longer dashboard tabs' names
- Simple and crisp design, use predefined dashboard templates for faster roll-out
- Add filters on top and left side of the dashboard
- Always prefer to use Fit to section property for Graph object [Keep graph size similar to section size] (applicable to lower than version 4.3)
- Keep Legend off for Graph for better view. If legend is needed, then set legend in top/bottom of the graph with free flow style
- Hide Logo/Image section for Mobile view and Tablet view
- If dashboard contain multiple crosstabs object then keep same formatting for all crosstabs
- Always set only View permission on Folder (Object) for other users, so they can’t modify object created by the creator.
